CHISHOLM — New to the Minnesota Discovery Center (MDC) in Chisholm, the Rustic Pig restaurant is opening its doors Saturday, Nov. 17, at 4 p.m. This restaurant will only be open Saturdays from 4 – 9 p.m. with the exception of Dec. 1, Dec. 8 and Jan 12, due to the Discover Flavors Dinners and a scheduled wedding.
The Rustic Pig restaurant will feature a rotating menu that will change every two months to go with the seasons. It will also have a nightly dinner feature that includes made-from-scratch breads, butter and soups. Other food options, such as appetizers, sandwiches, a kids’ menu and desserts will also be offered.
Starting on Nov. 17, the opening date, the featured entree will be 8 oz. grilled pork tenderloin served with fried root vegetables, butternut squash puree, and an autumn vegetable pilaf.
Along with its savory food, the MDC will have weekly bands perform starting at 6 p.m. The featured band for their opening date will be BitterSweet. The band will perform some originals, classic rock, and country and blues.
