VIRGINIA – During the month of September, Natural Harvest Food Co-op customers donated $1,081.75 to Volunteers in Education (VinE). The funds will go towards paying coordinators and ongoing expenses that keep the program running, growing and improving. VinE coordinators schedule and organize volunteer tutors, recruit new tutors, and match volunteers with classroom needs. They also provide support to the tutors and help ensure they are trained and well informed.

Each month Natural Harvest Food Co-op in Virginia selects a local non-profit organization to be the recipient of their Change Within Reach program. The program allows their customers to donate by rounding their purchase amount up to the next highest dollar. Since the start of the program in 2014, Natural Harvest has raised over $60,500 for local charities; in 2017 alone over $18,000 was raised.
