Poem time—in the shape of and about symbols of Christmas

CHRISTMAS TREE

Balls that are colorful on each branch, beautiful lights that twinkle and dance. Popcorn strung on a piece of twine. A pretty star on the top that gives a bright shine.

Sparkling tinsel placed on the tree. It’s a sight to see.

SNOW GLOBE

Round, clear. Sounds of cheer. Happy n’ cold. Something to hold. Sparkly white, a storm of delight. The Holy

Family in the globe. He should wear a royal robe. Shake the ball. Merry Christmas to all!

Liliana

CHRISTMAS WREATH

Green and round a lovely decoration, hanging on the door. Add a red ribbon and some berries. The circle of life, a Christmas tradition for ever more. Merry Christmas.

CHRISTMAS STOCKING

My stocking makes me jolly. It has leaves of holly. It sparkles in the light. I leave it out on Christmas night. The door is unlocked. Santa comes at twelve o’clock. When he is done my stocking is a full one. Lexus

ST. NICK

Santa is a jolly fellow with a suit and black boots.

He brings the presents on Christmas night, a puzzle, a bike and a new flute. Merry

Christmas.

Jack

CANDLE

The candle was lit on Christmas. The candle was bright at night. Logan

CANDY CANE

Red and white a sweet treat to eat. Put in a cup of cocoa. Hanging on a tree. Noah

RUDOLPH

Rudolph has a nose that glows. He can fly right through the sky. When you hear those jingle bells you know he’s coming by. You have probably never met him, that’s why I’m telling you, he’s the nicest creature you’ll ever meet. Merry

Christmas to you!

Theresa

SNOW FLAKES

A snow flake white and cold. Falling down it is so bold. Each one is white. Such a beautiful sight. They are all one of a kind while falling they bind.

Some are big some are small.

They all come down after fall.

Jordan

GINGERBREAD

Sweet soft cookie, shaped like a girl. Gum drop buttons right down in a swirl. Shoes to make it complete. A delicious cookie I love to eat. I put them on a plate, for Santa. I can’t wait. Gianina
