HIBBING – Hibbing Community College (HCC) invites the public to the Empty Bowl open studio and soup lunch event. The Empty Bowl fundraiser raises money for the Salvation Army through the sale of hand-crafted ceramic bowls filled with soup prepared by the HCC Culinary Department.
Join others in painting bowls in preparation for the event on Saturday, March 23, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. No art experience is necessary. Just bring a desire to be creative and have fun. The bowl painting open studio will be held in Ceramics Building E, located near the Planetarium on the HCC campus. Bowls will be ready to paint. All art materials will be provided.
Then come back for the Empty Bowl lunch on Tuesday, April 2, from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The lunch will be held in the HCC Commons located in Building C. The cost of lunch is $12 and includes your choice of a bowl of chili or zuppa toscana soup, dinner roll, and a brownie made by the HCC culinary team.
