VIRGINIA — Natural Harvest Food Coop (NHFC) shoppers donated $2,097 in December to the Angel Fund of Northeastern Minnesota. Donations will be used to support those in Iron Range communities diagnosed with cancer through financial, food, and transportation assistance, among others. Each month, NHFC selects a local nonprofit organization to be the recipient of NHFC’s Change Within Reach program. The program allows customers to donate by rounding their purchase amount up to the next highest dollar. All donated funds go to the selected organization. Since the start of the program in 2014, NHFC has raised over $135,000 for local charities; in 2021 alone, over $21,000 was raised.
