VIRGINIA — Catalyst Content, an episodic/series media festival, is seeking local help in creating a comprehensive Production Guide that will encourage and inform production companies interested in filming in the area that the upper Minnesota communities are willing to work on their productions.
Those interested in being included in the guide, sponsored by St. Louis County and IRRR, can sign up for a free listing by visiting the Lyric Center for the Arts in Virginia on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 6 p.m. The Lyric Center for the Arts is located at 510 Chestnut St. in Virginia.
The next Catalyst Content Festival will be held in Duluth from Wednesday, Oct. 9 – Sunday, Oct. 13. In its 14-year-old history, this is the first year the festival will be held in Duluth.
The job growth and economic impact that has occurred in cities with successful, award-winning shows like Walking Dead in Atlanta, Breaking Bad in Albuquerque, and Game of Thrones in Dublin is well established. It is the hope of Catalyst Content that Duluth experiences an equally beneficial cultural, artistic and economic impact.
A complete schedule of festival events will be available in September. For more information, visit www.catalystcontent.org.
