The Minnesota Sheriffs’ Association (MSA) is offering scholarships to law enforcement students, and St. Louis County Sheriff Ross Litman encourages students in this area to apply. The MSA Board of Directors will award up to 15 scholarships worth $600 each to students who are seeking careers in law enforcement.
To qualify, students must be enrolled in one of the following: a mandated Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) sills program, the second year of a two-year law enforcement program or the third or fourth year of a four-year criminal justice program.
Application forms and a statement of procedures are available at the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, or online at www.mnsheriffs.org. The deadline to apply is Oct. 18, and awards will be announced by the end of the year.
