VIRGINIA — An AARP safe driving course will be held at Mesabi Family YMCA on Friday, Oct. 19, from 5 – 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The cost for this two-session, eight-hour class is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers.
This course is designed for drivers age 55 and over to become aware of changes in the driving environment. Those who attend this course will be entitled to receive a discount on their automobile insurance premium. Volunteer instructor for the class is retired Chief of Police Dana Waldron.
