Lloyd was a member of the Automobile Dealers Association.  He also served 6 years in the National Guard in Virginia.  Lloyd had a love for antique boats, and enjoyed fishing in Canada, hunting, 4-wheeling, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed flying and earlier piloted his own plane.  Most of all, he treasured time with his family, especially his five grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Poshak in 2015.
