Drug Disposal Day event planned in Grand Rapids

GRAND RAPIDS – Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital has partnered with the Itasca County Sheriff’s Office to host a Drug Disposal Day on Saturday, Feb. 25th from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Grand Itasca in Grand Rapids. Left in your home, medicine can lead to accidental poisoning, theft and drug abuse, and if flushed down the toilet or disposed of in the trash, it can cause environmental problems. Protect your family and the environment by properly disposing of your unused prescription and over-thecounter medicines.

To participate in Drug Disposal Day, bring your old and unused medicines to Grand Itasca (use main clinic entrance). Names and other identifying information should be removed from prescription bottles. No syringes, needles or sharps will be accepted. There is no cost to participate in the Drug Disposal Day event.

For more information, contact Grand Itasca Pharmacy at 218-999-GIRX (4479).
