Virginia Floral is once again brightening the lives of community “do-gooders” with the “Good Job Bouquet.” The original campaign started in 2010, ran for 6 months and surprised 25 people with beautiful bouquets of flowers. Have-A-Heart Campaign kicks off at Mesabi
Student Advocates for the Human Services Club of Mesabi Range College is asking students and the community to donate items to the Lutheran Social Services Family Resource Center (Youth Shelter in Virginia) during their Have-A-Heart Campaign February 13-15, in the commons area of the Virginia campus. Pennies for Patients at Parkview raises $3,666.33
Students at Parkview Learning Center in Virginia collected “Pennies for Patients” to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society from January 23-27. Students teamed together, each contributing a little and the total was an amazing $3,666.33 in just one week. Full Story
4th Annual Bobber Stop Fishing Tourney scheduled
EVELETH - Range Transitional Housing (RTH) is holding the 4th Annual Bobber Stop Ice Fishing Tournament on Ely Lake in Eveleth on February 18, from noon – 3 p.m. All proceeds from the Fishing Tournament will go towards RTH’s furniture donation program to provide free furniture to those in need. There will be a fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the Eveleth Elks Club from 3:30 – 9 p.m. for Jack Jablonski and Jenna Privette, two young hockey players who were seriously injured this season. There will be a Spaghetti Feed, $7 for adults, and $4 for children. Full Story
