St. Michael’s Foundation 2011 Chili Cook-off Winners
MT. IRON – Winners of last week’s Chili Cook-Off have been announced. The judges were given numbered cups and did not know whose chili they were tasting. The Taster’s Choice winners were chosen by the people attending the cook-off, voting by putting a dollar in the jar of their favorite chili. Full Story

Humanity to break ground on new home
MT. IRON – USDA Rural Development State Director Colleen Landkamer will join Habitat for Humanity of St. Louis County Executive Director Nathan Thompson in Mt. Biwabik ladies produce prayer shawls
The ladies of Biwabik’s Community United Church of Christ believe strongly in supporting missions. Two of the ways the ladies do this is by knitting and quilting. Tuesday afternoons the ladies meet in the church library and have been knitting prayer shawls. These prayer shawls are for members of the congregation as well as others. Full Story
