Marketing effectively means you must know everything you can about your ideal customer. Demographic information (age, gender, location, income level, social class and occupation, education) can be easily found from a variety of sources. Psychographic traits (values, interests, hobbies, political and moral positions, shopping habits) are also useful to determine where advertising can be most effective.
