Business Reports: Income Statement
By Jennifer Pontinen HTF Contributor
The Income Statement reflects the performance of a company for a given period of time – annually, quarterly, monthly, daily, etc. This data can be used to compare sales and expense amounts against prior periods or against industry averages. It can help identify areas where improvement is needed (decrease expenses, increase mark-ups, etc.).
