Patients are misdiagnosed and misunderstood
I keep a roll of Scotch tape next to my bed in case I feel a tick crawling on me during the night. That way, I can safely entrap the tick without having to get out of bed, find a way to kill it, and dispose of the damn thing in a half-awake stupor. I probably have occasion to use my Scotch tape at least three or four times a summer. I’ve always detected the ticks before they’re attached; their fluttery scurrying along an arm or leg is unmistakable.

A bill was introduced to the Minnesota Legislature during the most recent session that would have given physicians the freedom to prescribe open-ended longterm antibiotic treatment for patients with chronic Lyme disease without repercussions from the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.
