Esala receives combat award
TOWER - SFC Dean Esala of Lake Vermilion - Tower has been awarded the Combat Action Badge and the Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster in Afghanistan. The 22-year member of the Army National Guard has been serving as a Transportation Platoon Sergeant/ Platoon Leader in Helmand Province since last summer, his third deployment in seven years. Customer Service training offered
Tourism Fest 2010 will be held Wednesday, June 23 at Fortune Bay Resort & Casino. This event will provide essential customer service training and tourism awareness. Two sessions will be offered with the first one from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and the second session from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Registration opens one hour prior to each session. YMCA offering Lifeguard Recertification Course
The class will meet the following days/times: Friday, June 18, 5-9pm; Saturday & Sunday, June 19-20, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.; Monday, June 21, 5-9 p.m. Participants must have the current American Red Cross Lifeguard Manual, CPR mask, and current lifeguard/CPRPR/AED card.
