Corey’s Corner

(of Lundgren’s)

Today’s cars and trucks are not the same cars our parents drove. Car’s and trucks today are able to make phone calls, give driving directions, and advise us on needed service and maintenance. Some cars can even park themselves.

The engine and transmission designs of today’s vehicles feature: All Wheel Drive, Traction Control, and Rear Stability Control. These systems allow the driver to maintain control of the vehicle in difficult driving conditions. These systems rely on complex computer systems and makes regular maintenance and service visits imperative.

The equipment needed to test the computer systems on today’s car are something previously found only in an electronics lab or in a hospital. Today’s technicians must be trained to read kilopascals, mill volts, and Newton meters and only manufacturer trained technicians can be guaranteed to have this specialized training. In order to get the most possible miles, enjoyment and resale value out of your vehicle it is crucial that you seek service from a qualified technician.
