I object to the fact that the Hometown Focus is dedicating an entire issue to chickens. I’m not sure whether it’s heredity, environment, early-life trauma, or some kind of chemical imbalance that causes a person to become a chicken. It’s my theory that the behavior which is exhibited by chickenpeople is their way of compensating for their feelings of insecurity or inadequacy. And that compensatory behavior is fine, most of the time. Everybody has to compensate for something. But in many cases this compensatory behavior can get nasty and cause other people to suffer.
