Jeanne Schibel Gross

Jeanne Schibel Gross, age 97, passed away in the home of her son and daughter-in-law, with her family at her side. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2010 in the Bauman- Cron Funeral Home Chapel, 516 S. 1st Street, Virginia, MN. Rabbi Amy Bernstein officiated. Interment will follow in the Range Hebrew Cemetery in Virginia. A Gathering was held at Don & Judy’s home on Friday evening at 7 p.m. Shiva began Saturday, March 6th at 7 p.m. in Don & Judy’s home in Virginia. Shiva was also held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, March 7th at the Knollwood Place Apartments, 3630 Phillips Parkway, St. Louis Park, MN. The family wishes memorials be directed to SMDC East Range Hospice or the Shalom Alliance. Family Services were provided by Bauman-Cron, A Bauman Family Funeral Home in Virginia. Mayme Catherine “Mae” Hilmas

Mayme Catherine “Mae” Hilmas, age 81, of Britt, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 in the Virginia Convalescent Center, surrounded by her family. A Gathering Time for family and friends will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service in the Sand Lake Chapel. Pastor Richard Lohry will officiate. Spring Inurnment will be held in the North Sandy Cemetery. Memorials are preferred and may be directed to the Sand Lake Chapel or the Local Chapter of the American Cancer Society. Louanne Picek

Louanne Picek, age 52, of Virginia, died Monday, March 15, 2010 in the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth of cancer. Visitation was held Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until the 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services in the Virginia United Methodist Church. Pastor Brenda King officiated. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia. Memorials are preferred. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Jorgenson, Dr. Nikcevich, and the nurses at the SMDC Infusion Center in Virginia. John William Damyanovich

John William Damyanovich, age 59, lifelong resident of Nashwauk, died Monday, March 15, 2010 in the Fairview University Medical Center, Mesabi. Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until the 12:30 p.m. in the Anderson- Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside service will follow in the Nashwauk Cemetery.
