Hot Reads for Cold Nights winners announced
After two months of participating in the 12th annual “Hot Reads for Cold Nights” program at the Virginia Public Library, the following persons were selected for giveaways: Inez Nelson, Michelle Burton, and Nancy Leek each received an entertainment basket that contained dinner for two at Michael’s on the Course, Grandma’s Saloon & Grill or the Rustic Rock Chop House, two free movies from Cinema Six and a bottle of wine from Kap ‘n’ Kork, as well as other prizes.
The afghan went to Lois Gunderson and other items were distributed to: Mark Pelkey, Jan Seibert, Colleen Baldwin, Susan Cunningham, Mary Sterling, Jeanne Maki, Helen Marconett, Cindy Lustic, Sue Meehan, Louise Grams, Wayne Baty, Carol Egger, Jackie Anderson, Luanne Lundrud, Katherine Caulfield, Bertha Hill, Twilla Ahola, William Nelson, Jan Barg and Joanne Gulla.
This annual program is a state-wide effort to emphasize the importance of reading for all ages. It was made possible through donations from the Friends of the Virginia Public Library.
