Greg Smith named director at Giants Ridge

Giants Ridge Golf & Ski Resort and Troon Golf are pleased to welcome Greg C. Smith as the Food and Beverage Director for the golf course and chalet operations.

Most recently, Smith was the Sous Chef at Rustic Rock Chop House in Eveleth. Before that he previously held the Sous Chef position at Mount Vernon Country Club in Golden, Colorado, outside of Denver. Mount Vernon is a private club that offers fine and casual dining, weddings and banquets to its members as well as servicing several area upscale golf facilities.

Smith is a Gilbert native and possesses expertise in worldwide and local cuisine, as well as the managerial experience needed to oversee the variety of food, beverage and catering operations at Giants Ridge.

“We are thrilled to welcome Greg because we know he will ensure standards of excellence within the food and beverage operations for the golf courses, chalet and banquets,” said John Kendall, Director of Golf. “Greg brings exemplary skills and understanding to the position of Food and Beverage Director.”
