Zachary James Thierer
Zachary James Thierer, 20, of Pike Township, went to heaven on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 30 at 10:00 a.m. with the Memorial service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Reverend Pat Gillespie will officiate. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Virginia.
Special thanks to St. Mary’s 8th floor Pediatric Intensive Care doctors and nurses who have lovingly cared for Zachary the last 16 years and a very special thank you to the St. Mary’s Hospice team of Virginia for helping him stay home with his family and to have a peaceful passing.
Zach was born on September 18, 1990 in Duluth, MN to James and Teri Ann (Nelson) Thierer.
Zach greatly enjoyed his Make-A-Wish “Captain Zach” pontoon boat, fishing, camping and his dogs, Shiloh Lee and Bella Mae, jamming to music all day, parades, and especially the Virginia High School Band.
Zach has taught all of us to be a loving and caring person and to always smile.
Zach was preceded in death by his brother: Zebulon; grandfathers, Lloyd R. Nelson and Clifford A. Thierer; uncles, Duff and Alan.
Survivors include:Parents: Jim and Teri Ann Thierer; Two Brothers: Jeremy (Pam) and Eli (Dicey); two Grandmothers: Donna F. Nelson and Muriel G. Thierer; three Aunts: Laura LaBelle, Penny (Bill) Hiltunen and Mary Ann (Don) Crayne; two Uncles: Bill (Susie) Nelson and John (Rhonda) Thierer; Special Nephew: Chauker; Special Niece: Piper and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, special friends, teachers and classmates.
