William Holmes Swierceski
William Holmes Swierceski, 39, of Eveleth passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, Ohio with his mother and sister at his side. He gave the gift of life to three individuals as an organ donor.
He was born on April 29, 1970 in Duluth, Minnesota to William R. and Gwen M. (Holmes) Swierceski. William was a 1988 graduate of Eveleth High School, where he enjoyed playing hockey. He worked as a carpenter for Lane Construction out of Belle Plain, Minnesota and was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local# 606 of Virginia, Minnesota. William loved all sports. He enjoyed golf, tennis and watching his favorite team, the New York Yankees.
He is survived by his mother, Gwen Holmes; sister, Tasia (Michael) Hoag; nieces, Sydney and Jacqueline Hoag all of Eveleth; aunt and uncle, Heather and Bill O’Keefe of Grand Forks, North Dakota; cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Swierceski and his grandparents.
A memorial gathering will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home Chapel in Eveleth with a 6:00 p.m. Celebration of Life by Certified Celebrant, Susan Tuomela.
