Rose M. Kirby
Rose M. Kirby, 85, of Chisholm died Monday, December 6, 2010 at Virginia Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 5, 1925 to Frank and Frances (Militich) Palkovich in Iron, Minnesota. Rose worked at Virginia Regional Medical Center as a nurse’s aide and later owned and operated the former Rose and E. J.’s in Mt. Iron with her husband Ed. She enjoyed reading books, going for rides and drinking coffee with Ed, while they listened to the scanner.
She is survived by her daughter, Zora (Jon) Williams and son, Mike Klashna both of Virginia, MN; grandchildren, Michael (Lisa), David (Deb), Tim (Carmen), Kyle (Amy), Kat (Paul), 11 great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, George Klashna and Ed Kirby; daughters, Georganne, GiGo, Roselynn; great granddaughter Stephanie; brothers and sisters.
Memorial service will be 3:30 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2010 at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. John O’Donnell as officiant. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the chapel. Honorary casketbearers will be great grandchildren; Jesse, Tucker, Darby, Grady, Nicholas, Gabriel and Brian. Inurnment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
