A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Chisholm, with Rev. Fr. Fred Method celebrating. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the mass at the church on Friday. Arrangements are entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Chisholm.
Rose Lynn Palcher, age 57, of Chisholm, died Monday, October 11, 2010 at Fairview University Medical Center – Mesabi in Hibbing. She was born December 29, 1952 in Virginia, MN to George and Rose M. (Palkovich) Klashna. She was a 1971 graduate of Virginia High School and had been a longtime Chisholm resident.
She was united in marriage on November 17, 1990 to Raymond J. Palcher. She worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses, was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and president of the Slovenian Women’s Union. She enjoyed reading and spending time at the lake.
Survivors include her husband – Raymond; mother – Rose Kirby of Chisholm; son – Kyle (Amy) Maloney of Virginia; daughter Kat (Paul) Johnson of Eveleth; 5 grandsons – Tucker, Darby, Grady and Gabriel Maloney and Nicholas Riihinen; sister – Zora (Jon) Williams of Virginia; brother – Mike Klashna of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her father – George, step-father - Ed Kirby and by her sister – Georgine Mattson.
