A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service Chapel in Chisholm, with Rev. Fr. Fred Method of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church officiating. A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.
Ronald P. Belanger Jr., age 61, of Hibbing, died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Fairview University Medical Center- Mesabi in Hibbing. He was born September 4, 1949 in International Falls, MN to Ronald A. and Patricia (Lovejoy) Belanger. He was a 1967 graduate of Hibbing High School and had been a Hibbing resident for the past 45 years.
Ronald was united in marriage on September 4, 1970 in Hibbing to Georgia A. Saban. He worked as a Sheet Metal Journeyman for Union Local #10. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed riding his Harley’s, was an avid race fan, hunter and fisherman, but more important was time spent with his family, especially his grandson’s Sean and Isaac.
Survivors include his wife – Georgia; children – Jennifer (Jeremy) Fleming of Chisholm; Sarah Belanger of Chisholm; Michael Belanger of Chicago, IL; grandsons – Sean and Isaac Fleming; Parents – Ronald A. and Patricia Belanger of Hibbing; brothers – Keith (Leslie) Belanger of Hibbing; Wayne (Karla) Belanger of Swan Lake, MN; sister – Mary (Jim) Floe of Ashland, WI; Patsy (Greg) Galatz of Hibbing; numerous nephews and nieces.
