Regetta K. McGregor
Regetta K. McGregor, 93, of Virginia died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the Virginia Convalescent Center. Service will be today; December 23rd at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Virginia at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be one hour prior. Arrangements are with the Range Funeral Home of Virginia. Rev. Fr. John O’Donnell will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by Range Funeral Home of Virginia.
Regetta was born on July 14, 1917 to Carlo and Dominica (Cavalia) Castagneri in Chisholm, MN. She grew up and attended school in Chisholm. She married Lester McGregor in Chisholm in 1937. Following their marriage they lived in Mtn. Iron. She worked at the Mtn. Iron Post Office for 25 years and many years at the Snack Shop. She enjoyed playing Bingo, cards, picking blue berries and the MN Vikings.
She is survived by her children: H.J. “Dodo” (Joan) McGregor of Mtn. Iron, MN, Janice Squillace (John Takala) of Mtn. Iron, MN, Regetta Ann Rossi of Virginia, MN, Nina (David Buria) of Mtn. Iron, MN; 15 grand children;14 Great-grandchildren; 8 Great-Great-grandchildren; One brother: Ben Castagneri;Special niece and nephew: Linda and Ben and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Lester, parents, grandson; Guy T. Squillace, and 4 brothers.
