Perry W. Johnson
Perry W. Johnson, 45, of Eveleth died Monday 8, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth.
He was born on December 8, 1964 in Eveleth to David L. and Lorna M. (Ericksen) Johnson. Perry was a 1984 graduate of Eveleth High School. He had worked at removing asbestos at what is now known as Aqua Power; had been a lab technician at LTV Steel, and for the last seven years was a contract cleaner at United Taconite. Perry was a member of United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, biking and especially loved motorcycles.
He is survived by the love of his life Michele Maki of Gilbert, MN; his father, David Johnson of Eveleth, MN.; aunts and uncles, Nancy (Tom) Roseen, of Eveleth, Mn., Art Ericksen of Eveleth, Mn. and Diane Waller of Virginia, MN.; special friends, Lance Omersa, Kevin Celley, Nadine Hendrickson, his constant canine companion Butch and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorna on July 18, 2010.
Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, November 12, 2010 at United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth with Rev. Joel Rova-Hegener and Rev. Dot Bull as officiants. Inurnment will be in Eveleth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Arrangements are entrusted to Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth.
