Ottie J. Beito
Ottie J. Beito, 88, of Virginia, passed away peacefully in her home, on Friday, September 03, 2010.
Ottie was born in the Township of York, Athens County, Ohio, on August 16, 1922, the daughter of William and Blanche (Blackford) Hill. She was a graduate of Waterloo High School in New Marshfield, Ohio. She then went on to graduate from Marietta Business School in Marietta, Ohio.
On September 23, 1942, she married Charles LaVerne Beito. During her life, she lovingly raised seven children with her husband by her side.
Everyone who knew her loved her wisdom and humor. She will be greatly missed.
Ottie will be sadly missed by her six children; Synneva Beito (Jean Snider) of Mt. Iron, Arne Beito of San Antonio, TX, Charlotte (Rick) Davis of Bruno, MN, Cheryl (Brian) Agnoli of Buhl, Alice (Paul) Wirth of St. Cloud, and Adrienne (David) Maki, of Mt. Iron; a son-in-law, Steve Hickey of Texas. Also surviving are five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Ottie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles; one daughter, Prudence Ann Hickey, and one grand-daughter, Robin Rachel Jansen. Ottie is also preceded in death by 9 sisters and 3 brothers.
Visitation will begin Friday, September 10, 2010, from 10:00 AM to the 11:00 AM Memorial Service at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Virginia, with Pastor Nathan Sager officiating. Private family burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Range Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
