Mildred Gravich

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2011 at St. Basil’s Serbian Orthodox Church in Chisholm, with Very Rev. Fr. Bogdan Zjalic officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Interment will follow in Chisholm Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Walker at Westwood Ridge in West St. Paul or Villa Health Care Center in Mora. Arrangements are entrusted to Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Chisholm.   
 
Mildred Gravich, age 86, of Mora, MN, formerly of Buhl died Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Mora Villa Health Care Center in Mora.  She was born September 26, 1924 in Buhl, MN to George and Sophie (Medich) Madich.  She was a graduate of Martin Hughes High School in Buhl and was a cheerleader during the State Basketball Championships. She had been an Iron Range Area resident for most of her life.
 
She was a member of St. Basil’s Serbian Orthodox Church of Chisholm and a member of the Buhl-Kinney Serbian Sisters. Millie loved being with her family and enjoyed baking and cooking and sharing that passion with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  
 
Mildred is survived by her children – Mark (Verona) Gravich of Mora, MN; Marsha (Jack) Blum of Edina, MN; 4 grandchildren – Faye Kritzeck; Peter Gravich; Matt Blum and Rachel Blum; great-grandchildren – Jack, Charlie, Hannah, Elizabeth and Cole; several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents – Sophie and George, and by her husband – Mike on 5/1/2007, and by 2 brothers – Dan and Joe Madich and sister - Katie Zunich.
