Margaret Mary Strucel
Margaret Mary Strucel, age 94, longtime resident of Virginia died Friday, May 21, 2010 in Edgewood Vista in Virginia. She was born January 9, 1916 in Ely, MN the daughter of Matt and Mary (Kure) Musich. She graduated from Ely High School and went on to attend the Ely Jr. College. Margaret was united in marriage to John Strucel on January 26, 1939 in Ely.
Margaret worked as a packager for the Peabody Arrow shirt factory in Virginia. She was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Virginia Sr. Citizens. She enjoyed making handcrafts and baking.
Margaret is survived by her great-niece: Connie (Curt) Koivisto; nephews: John Musich, Jim Musich, Mike Musich, Frank Jaeger, and Ray Musich; her sister-in-law: Caroline Musich; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents: her husband: John in 2001; her daughter: Margie Niewoehner in 1975; her son John J. Strucel in 1976; three brothers: John, Al, and Matt Musich; and her sister: Mary Jaeger.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon Dan Schultz will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Virginia.
Margaret’s family wishes to extend their appreciation to the staff at Edgewood Vista for the care and compassion that they extended to Margaret.
