Madeline Amelia Wilcox
Madeline Amelia Wilcox, age 91, of Virginia, and formerly of Lake Vermilion, California, and Texas, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in the Virginia Convalescent Care Center. She was born June 7, 1919 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of Henry and Margrethe Eichholz. She graduated from Cook High School and was united in marriage to Lawrence F. Wilcox on May 9, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA.
Madeline worked as a homemaker. She was a member of the Methodist Church, and she enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, traveling, reading, and music.
Madeline is survived by her sons: Richard Wilcox of Amarillo, TX, Ronald (Sue) Wilcox of Belton, TX, and Lance (Linda) Wilcox of Lombard, IL; five grandchildren: Dan (Rachel) Bennett, Stephanie Lindsey, Tiffaney (Justin) Childers, Nathan (Cory) Wilcox, and David Wilcox; six great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law: Ken McCarraher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Lawrence in 2005; a brother: Richard Eicholz; and a sister: Alice McCarraher; and a sister-in-law: Nina Eichholz.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Klecatsky & Sons Funeral Home, 1580 Century Point, Eagan, MN. Greg Anderson will be the celebrant.
