Lorraine Heard
Lorraine Heard, 85, of National City, California died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at St. Michael’s Health & Rehabilitation Center in Virginia.
She was born on April 5, 1925 in Gary, Minnesota to Harry and Clara (Larson) Hanson. Lorraine had worked as a waitress before she became the bookkeeper for National City Transfer and Storage, where she worked for many years. She was a very lively person, who loved to dance and go to the casinos. Lorraine was a lifelong sports fan; her favorites teams being the San Diego Chargers and the Padres. She was a devoted sister and aunt.
She is survived by her sister, Adeline Shreiter; nieces and nephews, JoAnn (Ed) Zelesnikar, Cathy Rouleau, Harry (Vickie) Hanson, Loren (Marilynn) Pagel, many other special nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Eileen Hanson, Dorothy Hanson, Vivian Hanson and Caroline Hanson.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; siblings, Charles, Lloyd, Glen, Arnold, Clifford, Harvey and Helen.
Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home Chapel in Eveleth with Pastor Bradley Felix officiating.
