Lola Heikkila
Lola Heikkila, 86 of Virginia passed away Monday, August 16th at St. Michaels Health and Rehab in Virginia. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 21st at 11:00 AM at the Range Funeral Home in Virginia. Visitation will be one hour prior. Burial will be at Florenton Cemetery.
Lola was born July 24, 1924 to Oscar and Hella (Paulson) Stauty in Virginia, MN. She grew up in West Virginia “Hopper” and graduated from Mt. Iron High school. She married Albert Heikkila on March 21, 1947 at the First Lutheran Church in Virginia. They resided in Florenton raising their four boys. Lola helped operate Heikkila Tax Service for over 30 years.
She was a member of the Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church, Laurentian Senior Center and a book keeper for the Mt. Iron Legion.
Lola will be greatly missed by those who new and loved her.
She is survived by her four sons: Theodore Hekkila of Virginia, Charles Heikkila of Virginia, MN, Jon Heikkila of Virginia, MN and Terry Heikkila of Tucson, AZ; 1 Granddaughter: Tiffany Weiss of Virginia, MN;1 Great-Grand daughter: Destiny Weiss of Virginia, MN;Numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by husband Albert, parents, 3 sisters; Gladys, Edna and Vivian “Toots” and 1 brother; Vern “Bud”.
