Lempi Elvera Lehto Hujanen, 95, Tower, died peacefully Sunday, July 11, 2010 at St. Raphael’s in Eveleth.

 

Lempi was born on November 10, 1914, in Pike, the daughter of Matt and Kaisa (Harju) Hill.

 

On October 26, 1935, she was united in marriage to Swen Lehto in Ely, and resided in Embarrass for over 30 years. After Swen’s death, she married Reino Hujanen in Tower MN, on June 1, 1979

 

She was a homemaker, and took great pride in her home. She enjoyed spending her time dancing, gardening, painting, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a caregiver for her brother, Earnest. A great joy in her life was being a big part of her grandchildren’s lives.

 

She is survived by her daughter; Dorothy (Floyd) Blaeser; 5 grand children; Teri (Dan) Richart, David (Janell) Blaeser, Beth (Craig) Emery, Barbara, (Paul) Blank, and Joe Blaeser (Dana Morgan and her son Cameron); 10 great-grandchildren, Nicole and Jessica Richart, Benjamin, Andrew and Matt Blaeser, Tim and Tyler Emery, Caleb, Kiley and Christian Blank. Also surviving is a daughter-in-law, Donna, and several nieces and nephews, other family and friends.

 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Swen, a son Clyde, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

 

Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. to the 2:00 P.M. Funeral Service at Range Funeral Home. Casket bearers will be her grandsons; Burial will be in the Embarrass Cemetery.
