Kirsty J. Kilpela

Kirsty J. Kilpela, 16, of Eveleth died Thursday, October 7, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth as the result of a very tragic automobile accident.
 
She was born on April 14, 1994 in Duluth to Ronald Scott and Andrea Jean (Thompson) Kilpela. Kirsty was a sophomore at Eveleth High School. She loved science and nature; she had a passion for exploring the meaning of life and loved to express to everyone her view of a perfect world. She had a passion in computers and video game development. She had very detailed plans on her own game including, music, characters and all other aspects that she would create. She also showed her creative talent in her numerous music compositions that she developed upon her laptop. Her love, warmth, and many talents will be greatly missed.
 
She is survived by her father: Scott (Jodi) Kilpela of Aurora, MN; mother, Andrea Kilpela (Joe Klamm) of Eveleth, MN; siblings, Krista, Adrien, Candice, Justin and Kaylie; grandparents, Ronald Kilpela, Susan (Keith) Sutherland, Marshall (Cindy) Thompson, great grandfather Dale Moberg; special friends, Alex and Heather; “Grandma Debby” and her fury friend of 14 years “Kitty”; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
 
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Geraldine Kilpela and great grandparents.
 
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church in Eveleth with Pastor Brad Felix officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Interment will be in Eveleth Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth. To sign the guest book online and to leave a memorial message, go to www.cron-sheehy.com.
