John William Damyanovich
John William Damyanovich, age 59, lifelong resident of Nashwauk died Monday, March 15, 2010 in the Fairview University Medical Center, Mesabi. He was born June 27, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MN the son of Mike and Jean (Proulx) Damyanovich. He graduated from Nashwauk High School and went on to receive a degree as a Mechanic from the Hibbing Vo-Tech. He was united in marriage to Doreen K. Warmbold on August 15, 1970 in Chisholm.
John retired from his work with the City of Nashwauk street department. He was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed restoring classic cars.
John is survived by his wife: Doreen; his son: Troy (fiancée Jennifer Mehl) Damyanovich of Hibbing; 2 brothers: Michael James (Sonja) Damyanovich of Pengilly, and Robert (Terese) Damyanovich of Nashwauk; a sister: Betty Lou (Mike) Welbel of Chicago: two grandchildren: Colton and Tayla Damyanovich; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
His parents preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2010 from 11:00am until the 12:30 pm in the Anderson-Daniels Funeral Home Chapel. A private graveside service will follow in the Nashwauk Cemetery.
