Jeannine Yvonne Miskulin
Jeannine Yvonne Miskulin, 80, formerly of Hibbing, went home to Heaven at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Hermantown September 24, 2010, to spend eternity with her Lord Jesus Christ and all her precious loved ones waiting for her there. Jeannine was born on July 19, 1930 in Casey, Iowa to Elmer & Hazel Floyd. She graduated from Hibbing High School and the Minnesota School of Business. She worked at Commercial Credit for 10 years and US Bank for 17 years before retiring in 1988.
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents, her son Gary, her sister Valene Hargrave, and brothers Vince and Veryl Floyd.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Nick Miskulin, her daughter Bonnie (Don) Engseth of Hermantown, Minnesota, sons Stephen (Robin) Hyduke of Prescott, AZ, and Daniel Miskulin of Redondo Beach, CA, and by her sister Juanita Quaal of Fergus Falls, MN.
Jeannine loved and adored her grandchildren: Tommy, Derek, Jason, Melissa, Christy, all her precious nieces and nephews, and her great-grandchildren Kylie, Kaitlin, and Luke.
She was known and loved by customers and employees alike and there was hardly a person in Hibbing who didn’t know her for her ready smile and kind words. After her retirement she had more time to follow her passions: Spending time with family, bicycle rides to visit her many friends, reading, and singing in the Wesley United Methodist Church choir.
She loved keeping up with all the comings and goings of her family and friends and was quick to share in their joys and triumphs and was there to comfort them in their sorrows.
Jeannine loved to sing and always had a sweet song on the tip of her tongue. She taught her children many wonderful tunes that they have passed on to their own children. We know even now that she is singing in Heaven, and swaying to the wonderful melody of God’s heavenly choir.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service Saturday, October 2, 2010 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 303 E. 23rd St., Hibbing. The Rev. Terry Tilton will officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery.
