Janie Mildred (Strickland) Heep
Janie Mildred (Strickland) Heep, 89, died on June 29, 2010 at Carefree Living in Ely, MN. A memorial service will be held in Texas at a later date.Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Virginia.
Janie was born in Georgetown, Georgia on April 16, 1921 and grew up in Eufaula, Alabama. She was married to Albert Heep on June 12, 1943.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; and her sister, Florence.
She is survived by her sister, Georgia Smith of Phoenix City, AL; sons, Bert (Diane) Heep of Ely, MN, and Don (Gale) Heep of Weatherford, TX; granddaughters, Erin Heep (Tim McKenzie) of Ely, MN, and Alison (Jake) Givand of Blaine, MN; grandsons, Brian, Scott, Andrew, Brandon, Nathan, and Jonathan Heep, all of Texas; great grandchildren, Grant, Lydia, Sam, and Luke; one niece; and two nephews.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff at Carefree Living and Lakeside Manor. Janie was loved greatly and will be missed by her entire family.
