Gertrude Lillian Hall
Gertrude Lillian Hall, 86, Mt. Iron, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 at her residence. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 10:00 AM to the 11:00 AM Memorial Service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Alango, with Pastor Joey Bailey officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Gert was born November 20, 1924, in Alango, MN, the daughter of Hjalmer and Helen (Haavisto) Maki. She grew up and attended schools in Alango.
She was united in marriage to Robert C. Hall, and recently celebrated 39 years of marriage.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and one of her fondest memories is the time she spent on the family farm. She was an active member of the Alango/Sturgeon Homemakers. She enjoyed her companions and protectors, the family dogs, Molly and Hunter. She was an avid card player, and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Gert is survived by 2 daughters, Roberta and Rebecca Jacobson; 3 sons, James (Cheryl) Roby, Rollie (Stacey Fox), and Randy Jacobson; 5 stepsons, Robert Jr. (JoAnne Santelli), William (Laura), Jim (Jennifer Pause), Daniel (Helen Amick), and Rick Hall; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorraine Erickson, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved daughter, Kathy Hart, her husbands, Ed Roby, Robert Jacobson, and Robert C. Hall in November 2010.
