Frank G. Platner
Frank G. Platner, 87, of Eveleth died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the Eveleth Health Services Park.
He was born on February 22, 1923 to Frank and Mildred (Ocepek) Platner in Eveleth. Frank attended Eveleth schools and was an Army Veteran of World War II. While living in Minneapolis, Frank worked as a carpenter, before retiring and moving back to Eveleth.
He is survived by his brother Edward Platner of Eveleth, sisters, Rosemarie (Frank) Evangelist of Minneapolis, Carol (Bogdan) Rutkiewicz of New Brighton, Barbara (John) Kusmierz of Poland and Gloria (Darrell) Leseman of Eveleth; sister-in-law, Betty Plattner of Virginia and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Albin Plattner and sister, Mary Ribich
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 21, 2010 at Resurrection Catholic Church, Eveleth with Rev. Fr. Charles Flynn as celebrant. Visitation will be one hour before the mass at the church. Interment will be in Eveleth Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Cron-Sheehy Funeral Home, Eveleth.
