Florence Margaret Eleanor Smith
Florence Margaret Eleanor Smith, 76, of Hibbing, MN passed away Sunday, November 14, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18 at 12:00 noon with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the Range Funeral Home in Hibbing. Pastor Steve Breitbarth will officiate. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing. Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Hibbing.

Florence was born on December 28, 1933 in New York Mills, MN to John and Hilma (Jaakola) Mattson. She married Elton Marvin Smith on June 17, 1950 in New York Mills.Florence was a beautician by profession. She retired, but had taken time to care for many of her elderly clients in their homes. She was an avid bowler, often traveling to different states for tournaments. She had also taken up golf in her later years. Florence loved to cook and make her wonderful Finnish flat bread. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Elton.
Survivors include: Her five children: Judith (Michael) Bonacci, of South Bend, IN, Sheryl Mlaker, of Excelsior, MN, Dale Smith, of Andover, MN, Lori (Michael) Schmidt, of Spring Green, WI, William (Paula) Smith of Lonsdale, MN; one sister: Annette (Reg) Anderson of Duluth, MN; two brothers: Walt (Bev) Mattson of Esko, MN and Hank (Gloria) Mattson of Brainerd, MN; 13 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
