Eleanor A. Esala
Eleanor A. Esala, 75, of Virginia, died Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Wendigo Pines Assisted Living in Grand Rapids, MN.
Eleanor was born August 5, 1934 in Pike Township, the daughter of Chester and Esther A. (Mattila) Kangas. She grew up and attended schools in Virginia.
On September 13, 1951, she was united in marriage to Arnold Alfred Esala in Virginia. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed gardening, playing her organ and accordian, and spending time with her family and friends.
Grateful for having the priviledge of sharing in her life are; her son Steven (Donna) Esala, Embarrass; one granddaughter, Nichole Esala, Embarrass; one grandson, James Torvi, Texas, and a great-granddaughter, Jeanne Torvi, also of Texas; on brother Kenneth (Carol) Kangas, Virginia, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 47 years, Arnold, one daughter, Jeanne Martinez, and a son, Michael Esala.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the East Pike Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
Arrangements are entrusted to Range Funeral Home, Virginia.
