Edna Arvilla Finckbone, age 96, longtime resident of Ely died Sunday, June 20, 2010 in the Ely Bloomenson Nursing Home. She was born June 11, 1914 in Bemidji, MN the daughter of Adrian and Gladys Harris. She graduated from Bemidji High School. Edna was united in marriage to Paul E. Finckbone on October 31, 1936.

 

Edna worked as a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

 

Edna is survived by four daughters: Valerie (Art) Moats of Ely, Paulette (Bill) Krueger of Babbitt, Carol (Paul) Lepisto of Ely, and Amy (Bob) Omerza of Ely; a sister: Darlene Bartz of Oregon, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Paul; two sons: Mervin Boe and Bruce Finckbone; two daughters: Arvilla LeBlanc and Katherine Taylor Finckbone; and several siblings.

 

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. memorial service Thursday, June 24, 2010 in the Bauman-Cron Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Brenda King will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Argo cemetery.
