Dorothy M. Phillips
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Rupp Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Mr. Jim Rupp officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home on Saturday.
Dorothy M. Phillips, age 79, of Chisholm, died Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. She was born April 4, 1931 in Balkan Township, MN to Frank and Marion (Stewart) Lahti. She attended Balkan Schools and later received her GED. She was a lifelong Balkan and Chisholm resident.
Dorothy was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. She was a master of crocheting, enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and time at the family cabin at Perch Lake.
Survivors include her husband – Eugene; children – Bonnie (Jim) Finch Jr. of Lavella Township, MN; Tim (Karen) Ebert of Fergus Falls, MN; step-children – Paula (Will) Poloski of Lebolt, SD; Marcia (Charles) Leemhuis of Watertown, SD; Burton Phillips of Watertown, SD; Twylae Phillips of Watertown, SD; Adam (Kristy) Phillips of Sioux Falls, SD; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son – Fred Ebert Jr.
