Dorothea Jane Drinkwine

Dorothea Jane Drinkwine, 79, of Nashwauk, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010 at her home. 
Visitation will be Wednesday evening, December 1st, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Range Funeral Home in Hibbing and also one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, December 2nd at the Nashwauk Lutheran Church. Pastor Jean Megorden will officiate.Burial will be in the Nashwauk Cemetery.Arrangements are with Range Funeral Home in Hibbing.
 
Dorothea was born June 28, 1931 in Deer River, MN to Edward and Eudora (Stockwell) Demings. She attended school in Coleraine. Dorothea married Eino Mickelson on February 14, 1951 in Bovey. They made their home in the Buck Lake area and later moved to Nashwauk where she owned Josephine’s Café. She married Robert E. Drinkwine on April 8, 1981. They lived in Arkansas, Wyoming, eventually settling in Trout Lake and then Nashwauk. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting, canning, gardening and especially spending time with her family.
 
Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Eudora; her first husband, Eino on August 27, 1979; sisters, Vi, Georgetta, and Janice; brothers, Walter, LeRoy, Ernest and Edward.
 
Survivors include: Husband: Robert Drinkwine of Nashwauk; 6 Children: Rosalie (John) Marolt of Zimmerman, MN, Melvin (Mary) Mickelson of Nashwauk, MN, Evelyn (Bill) Huffman of Nashwauk, MN, Peggy (L.D.) Hallmark of Nashwauk, MN, Edward (Kelly) Mickelson of Nashwauk, MN and Darrell Drinkwine of St. Paul, MN; 23 Grandchildren,43 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild; 4 Sisters: Irma Morisette, Joyce Schultz, Jen Bauer and Irva Alvasted; 1 Brother: Donald Demings and numerous nieces and nephews.
