Beverly Ann Forstrom

Beverly Ann Forstrom, 77, Mt. Iron, died peacefully in her home,Saturday, September 4, 2010.
 
Beverly was born, May 28, 1933, in Superior, WI, the daughter of Gust Alexander and Lillian Lempi (Mijala) Lundeen.
 
On December 31, 1954, she was united in marriage to Oliver O. Forstrom, in Superior, WI. After their marriage, they made their home in Mt. Iron which she and Oliver had built. 
 
Beverly enjoyed spending time at their cabin at Lake Vermilion, which her husband also built, and fishing. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and decorating her home for the holidays. She enjoyed working on four family trees, and was proud of her Finnish heritage. She and Oliver traveled to Finland several times.
 
She was a member of the Virginia Ladies of Kaleva, having served in different offices and as a matron. She was the treasurer for the Mt. Iron Sr. Citizens, and was Past-President of the Mt. Iron PTA. She was also a former secretary for the old Messiah Lutheran Church in downtown Mt. Iron.
 
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Ann (Enrico) Welsch, Mt. Iron; her son, LeRoy (Nancy) Forstrom, Tower; a brother, Dr. Gerald (Ruth) Lundeen, Edina, MN; her granchildren, Shannon (Brian) Chapman, Virginia, Derek Moe of Mt. Iron, Adrian (Kaci) Moe of Oak Grove, MN, Erica and Erin Forstrom of Chisholm, MN; one great-grandson, Everett Moe of Oak Grove, MN; three step-granchildren, Samantha and Krystle Makela of Des Moines, IA, and Joseph Makela of Virginia, two step-greatgrandchildren, Cody and Lily Chapman of Emily, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Oliver, twin brother, Robert Lundeen, and a sister Geraldine Beglinger.
 
Visitation will begin on Friday, September 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to the 11:00 a.m. Memorial Service at Range Funeral Home, Virginia, with Pastor Kristin Foster officiating, burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
