Anthony James Neri, Sr.
Anthony James Neri, Sr., 84, of Virginia died at his residence in Virginia, on Friday, January 28, 2011, surrounded by his family. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 4th at Hope Presbyterian Church in Virginia at 5:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior. Pastor Nathan Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
Tony was born on May 14, 1926, in Washington, D.C. He was united in marriage to Jean Peterson.
He was a pitcher for fast-pitch softball, avid fisherman and enjoyed many fishing outings to various lakes in the region. He was a conveyor belt technician with Conveyer Belt Services for 36 years.
He is survived by his wife, Jean of 60 years; Children: Tony Neri Jr., of Mt. Iron, Michael (Sue) Neri of Virginia, Kathy (Frank) Bailey of Virginia, Patty (Gary) Shoars of Duluth, Richard Neri of Virginia, Pam (Steve) Leinonen of Virginia; 8 grandchildren, 7 Great-grandchildren, other family and friends.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
