Angelo Earl “Pook” or “Angie” Castagneri
Angelo Earl “Pook” or “Angie” Castagneri, 70, Tower, died Friday, January 28, 2011 at Cook Hospital in Cook. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 10:00 AM to the 11:00 AM Funeral Service at Range Funeral Home, Virginia. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Angelo was born on June 14, 1940, in Chisholm, the son of Angelo and Sarah ( Wilson ) Castagneri.
He lived on Lake Vermilion on Daisy Bay. He worked construction in Arizona and New Mexico, and also worked for Picek Construction. He loved cats and fostered cats as well. He was a valued member of the community; he volunteered his services whenever and wherever he was needed. He was a great handyman.
He was married to Marilyn Potente, who passed away in 1993.
Angelo is survived by his children: Julie (Casey) Johnson, Duluth, and Shayna Castagneri; four grandchildren; a brother, Carlo (Norma) Castagneri, Richfield; two sisters, Ethel (Jim) Walker, Arizona, and Teresa Castagneri, Britt; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
